A Habit of Great Work
When we were thinking of renovating our place, we had a concept in mind, so we were following a few interior firms online. Coincidentally, a friend also recommended Habit, which happened to be one of those firms that we had shortlisted.
In addition, after meeting Habit and another firm, we felt that we were more comfortable with the team from Habit. They had a better grasp of what we had in mind.
In all, we are quite happy with how the designs turned out. We are especially happy with the designers’ attention to details. They genuinely want the design to turn out well.
We also appreciate the vendors and workers (both internal and external) that Habit works with. All of them are helpful and flexible. In fact, we have already recommended Habit to one of our friends and that project is currently in progress.

Consummate Professionals
We engaged Habit after reviewing their projects and sensing the X-factor that their designs exude. It is challenging to toe the line between garish/ostentatious and subtle/sleek and Habit leans towards the latter.
The initial meeting was great; Habit paid attention to our whims, wants and needs and we could sense that they were trying their best to build a home which would accede to the lifestyles of the individuals living in it. Importantly, we gelled well with the designers who have different, but synergistic personalities. As a sucker for good organization and clear communication, I could not be happier with the project management and updates provided by Habit.
Daniel has an impeccable sense of organization and I caught myself smiling every time I read his briefs and documents. Yanling has a great sense of style and her decisiveness when it came to opining on furnishing (no sugarcoating, just the plain ole truth) was very useful for us to eliminate options and come to a decision. Denise isn't afraid to be a contrarian and would speak her mind to design options which were not previously considered. Essentially, Habit does not fall into the trap of groupthink and I like that.
Most importantly, Habit stuck to the timelines projected from the get-go despite the pandemic. We were also pleasantly surprised that our final invoice matched the initial projected invoice cent-for-cent!
My wife and I are overjoyed with our new home. Habit masterfully worked with a small space (700 sqft) and cleanly created living, work and dining spaces that appeal to the eyes. Throughout our renovation journey, and indeed after moving in, Habit continues to engage us meaningfully to provide insightful recommendations on furnishing and decorating.
We can't wait to see how our home evolves over the next few years. Personally, I can't wait to engage Habit again for our second home.

Their reliability and responsiveness really puts them heads and shoulders over other outfits.
Embarking on a renovation is normally daunting, much less during a pandemic. As such, we could not have wished for a safer pair of hands than the Habit team to guide us through the entire process.
Their value-add became quickly apparent from the proposal stage where we were given layouts we wouldn’t have previously thought of as being possible in light of the technical specifications and space constraints. They were quick to draw our attention to potential blind spots as well as provide thoughtful, practical and elegant solutions to make the space truly liveable.
Despite the global supply chain/pandemic-related delays, they were able to manage processes and troubleshoot issues effectively. Their reliability and responsiveness really (in my humble opinion) puts them heads and shoulders over other outfits.
Finally, even after the handover process was completed, Yanling and Denise continued to amaze with their problem solving abilities and definitely went above and beyond in getting teething issues rectified promptly.
In summary, the experience with Habit has been nothing short of outstanding, highly recommended if you want a smooth and nightmare-free renovation process!

Unique, trustworthy, thoughtful, reliable
We first approached habit 6 years ago when we bought our first marital home. We were so pleased with how that turned out, the day we made an offer for our 2nd home, we texted Habit immediately to chope them for our next big project!
Habit listens. And I think that's what homeowners need from our IDs. Habit listened and came up with proposals based on not just what we wanted, but also based on what suited the family's lifestyle. I have heard my friends share their experiences, where their IDs would share proposals based on previous projects, and just provide solutions that would be aesthetically pleasing, but totally not functional.
Their designs are also thoughtful - my place has quite a lot of bay windows which makes it difficult to play up on space and storage. Habit did such a great job proposing creative solutions to manoeuvre around the restrictions and design a living space that made our place look big & the bay window spaces well utilised. The end result was clearly a living space that was uniquely ours.
What I appreciate most is the extra mile Habit is willing to go. They even approached various furniture vendors to provide us with furnishing ideas that matched their design proposal. So what we got is a holistic 360 creative proposal - this helps a lot as they know best what style fits, and u don't have to go around hunting (& visualising on your own) for the furniture you need!
Most importantly, Habit is reliable and responsible. No MIA post handover. They have been providing support (for both our projects) to ensure a smooth move-in, making it such a stress-free and enjoyable experience working with them.
Thanks Habit! I'll see you very soon for our next project!

Every millimetre counts, every detail matters.
Just when we thought we had all options explored and sketched on our PowerPoint, and all the IDs we had pre-engaged earlier seemed to think along the same plane, Habit decided to surprise us with three space planning proposals that showed us how our new space can be reimagined and reconfigured in a way that optimizes the small footprint and yet meet our brief. What sealed the deal was not being given a cookie cutter floorplan, but one that really got us more excited about our new apartment than before.
The design process did involve some test of our imagination since there was no 3D rendering, but there was already alignment in terms of aesthetics and design language, based on our mood board and Habit's past works. We were therefore able to converge pretty quickly, since the team was clear with their vision (with very detailed cross-sections) yet open-minded enough to hear and incorporate our views. The recommendations on the furnishings were also spot on.
As for the actual renovation, we can only say we were truly impressed by the team's professionalism and meticulousness. Every millimetre counts, every detail matters. Because of this, there were a lot of consultation videos via whatsapp which allowed us to decide on the placement/palette/position quickly (with good advice from the team) and get a sense of the progress real-time. We can also see that the team exercised good control over the different groups of workers and the schedule. Despite some drag brought about by the pandemic and our stringent MCST, the team worked really hard and delivered the final product in time for our scheduled move-in date.
All in all, we are really happy with how our home has turned out. We have stayed in our place for half a year now, and are still loving every nook and corner. Looking back, the renovation journey was every bit enjoyable, almost care/fuss-free. A big shout-out to Yanling, Denise and Daniel for giving us a stylish home. We cannot recommend Habit enough. ☺

Habit's sensitivity to clients' demands, manners and routines, is a testament to the name of their company.
Over the past 2 years, my partner and I have been looking around for an ID that meets our needs and aesthetic demands without compromising on practical living. We have been doing our research on several ID companies and narrowed our choices to 2 firms based on what we had seen and also heard about each company. Initially apprehensive, both my partner and myself were sure of our decision to work with Habit when we left their office after their proposal presentation. It was clear then, in our exchanged glance, that we were floored by their proposal.
The team had clearly considered all our requests and had created 3 different layout options with attention to details from information exchanged from our prior visit. The care and amount of thought given to the reconfigured space & placement of items through the introduction of carpentry, furniture, even down to switches and power sockets, is impressive. Habit's sensitivity to clients' demands, manners and routines, is a testament to the name of their company. Along the way, through multiple consultations, the team listens attentively and is always game to try alternative, unique ideas for our home.
Fusing spaces for work, play, fitness and enjoyment within 1324 sqft, Habit was also able to keep to our budget, patiently proposing alternative solutions to meet our needs. Despite the challenges faced this year due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the team is able to keep within the timeline as discussed and handled all concerns/queries with patience, professionalism and astuteness. Along the course of developing our home, it became clear that the team at Habit is filled with creatives who are passionate and takes great pride in their work.
As a creative myself, I probably would have desired full control and taken to designing every inch of this project on my own. However, Habit's ability to effectively work with us and to advise where we are lacking, has ensured a smooth and successful ride. We count our blessings everyday to have been acquainted with these creatives.

They also really made every inch of our small space, not just beautiful but functional.
Overhauling a 20+ year old flat in its original state was daunting... adding the small size of the unit and COVID restrictions to the mix, it felt impossible.
During our first meeting with Habit over zoom during the circuit breaker, we were immediately impressed by the depth of the discussion - Denise and Yanling really took the trouble to get to know us and our lifestyles before drafting their initial designs. We had our second meeting a month later where they presented three very different proposals, each equally creative and attractive with our needs in mind. We could tell that they are extremely passionate about what they do and we decided right away that they were the one!
We had to wait a while to start the renovations as they had their hands full with earlier projects/delays from COVID but they managed our expectations accordingly and we were happy to wait. The whole renovation process went extremely smoothly and they were beyond helpful in liaising with our condo management and neighbours. We barely had to lift a finger. All the vendors/furnishings/lightings they recommended us were also fantastic.
We were initially a bit worried that their aesthetic might be a bit too dark/modern for our taste, but they took our preferences on board every step of the way and the end product was beyond what we had ever imagined! The quality of the workmanship by their contractors and carpenters seems superb so far and they were quick to rectify any minor faults right after we moved in. They also really made every inch of our small space, not just beautiful but functional. It also feels infinitely more spacious now.
The renovation cost a little more than we anticipated but they communicated any additional costs (mostly due to material choice) so there were no surprises at the end. Overall, given the service and quality they provide, we think it was absolutely worth it. Thank you Habit!!

The attention to detail in a 2D drawing was very deep.
As we went about our search for an ID, it looked like most IDs are out to close with discounting and a promise of better material. Most of the IDs we met were more interested in sharing the latest promotions they were running rather than taking the time to understand what we wanted.
So we had to look deeper into who we are as a couple and what we wanted. The first thing we did was to acknowledge that we are not gifted in design and space planning. We were looking for an expert to help us design a very nice home.
First Impressions
It took a while for the Habit team to respond to us for an initial meeting. This was interesting as most IDs would rush to meet for an initial appointment. When we first met them it was clear that the Habit team was a breath of fresh air. They asked us a series of questions about lifestyle, family, intentions and budget. They did not propose anything and simply asked for some time while they worked out proposals for us to consider. They also asked us to send them a mood board of photos to help them understand us better.
After about 4 weeks, they invited us back to their office. They shared 4 floor plan proposals that challenged how we saw the conventional ways a HDB house could be constructed. Their space planning was thoughtful and it became clear to us why they were asking all those questions during our first meeting. They really paid attention to our needs and wants as a young family. However, the team had set a budget expectation that was almost double what we had in mind. We had some thinking to do but really our hearts had decided for us. So we went with them.
The Planning Phase - Circuit Breaker
Our key collection was delayed due to the COVID-19 circuit breaker so we got to work on finalising the floor plans via zoom. This process took about 2 zoom meetings and a bit of back and forth. It was probably the hardest part of the renovation process as the Habit team does not provide 3D drawings. However, the manner in which space planning was conveyed to us communicated much more than what conventional 3D drawings would. The attention to detail in a 2D drawing was very deep.
The Habit team were extremely detailed in their 2D drawings - each carpentry (i.e. the kitchen cabinets, isles, wardrobe, etc) had been drawn in various perspectives - front view, side view, back view). It was easier to visualise with some guidance from the team. They even did up a lighting plan that showcased how much of the house would be lit up.
The Execution Phase
Once we finalised the floor plans, the rest of the process was fairly painless. We met them twice to confirm flooring and tiling options and carpentry and laminate colours. The 2 meetings were structured and the team had prepared 2 options for us and shared their thought process. It was clear a lot of thought had been put in prior to our meeting and there were no surprise "top ups".
Additional purchases (Lighting, Toilet Fixtures, Fans)
The team at Habit work with a few trusted advisors who are domain specialists. The folks they recommended to us for the additional purchases were very professional and were able to guide us well. It also helps that the Habit team had done the legwork to recommend a few options for us to consider. Once we decided on the purchase, all we had to do was to foot the bill - the delivery, checking, coordination were taken care of by the team without any issues.
Project Timeline and Completion
The entire renovation process from start of hacking works to handover took just under 3 months. They did not give us a timeline or expectation of progress but at this point, we trusted that things would turn out well and it did. Upon handover, there was really nothing much that needed correction.
Dollars and Cents
The final bill vs the one we had signed up for varied ~3%. The initial quote we had signed up for had taken into consideration the type of tiles, flooring, countertops we needed to get the final outcome, the additional top ups were minor carpentry add-ons.
Living in the space two months on
We have now lived in the space for over 2 months and are happy with the choice we made. The overall experience working with the team, the quality of the outcome and feeling of coming home to a well designed home is worth it. We highly recommend the team and will not hesitate to engage their services for our future homes.

First Rate Habit
When we were looking for an ID firm, we didn’t feel the need to approach more than one for two reasons. First, among the many design portfolios here, Habit made the biggest impression on us. Stylistically, we found their work to consistently reflect a contemporary and seamless refined look. Attitudinally, we were attracted because many of their projects had what I’d call a bit of a swagger about them. Not the showroom or pretentious kind but the understated, elusive kind with a touch of unpredictability. Attention to detailing - another key requirement for us - was also pretty evident in their own office setup.
Second, we took the time to do our homework before embarking on our project - an important step in the process because it gave clarity to our brief and kind of ID we wanted. We thought about our previous homes, what we liked, didn’t, needed, scoured Pinterest and even made a mood-board of the look and feel we wanted for our new home. All that was then left was to deep-dive into the design portfolios here in Qanvast to find the closest ID match. So. There wasn’t a need to waste time approaching several ID firms or worse, mindlessly make a bunch of them put up proposals like a GE Biz tender. Worst way to engage creatives.
The Habit team may have been surprised that we signed them up right after our first meeting but we weren’t, because their portfolio, attitude, personalities and enthusiasm with the brief were bang on target for us.
In the weeks later, we were - pleasantly - bombarded with design ideas and layouts, followed by detailed plans for hacking, electricals, lighting, woodworking and what-not. We found the team to be always accessible and diligent in their management of the project.
Yan Ling was the project gatekeeper, Denise the creative lead, Daniel the draughtsman and minder rolled into one, and Lena the support. They were constantly on the case, passionately ideas-driven, made sure that everything was on track, and paid close attention to the detailing work that evolved through the project.
I recall a meeting in which Denise and Daniel debated a good 30 minutes about the ideal placement of a switch plate on our window ledge and another in which they both kept revising the design for one of the bathrooms until they were themselves satisfied that it was original and good enough to pass muster!
Denise has a great and fussy eye for ideas (and loves matt black), Daniel is a passionate stickler for getting the details right, and Yan Ling offers a cool check-and-balance design head while also having an eye for super nice furniture.
If you should end up with them as your ID, give them room to express their creativity and unpredictability and trust them. You’ll be pleasantly surprised how good they really are. Their commitment and professionalism were top class and we would not hesitate to use them again in the future. First-rate quality of ideas and work. Highly recommended.

A style that lasts through the years
Habit has designed a timeless home for our family incorporating function, design and beauty all on point!
Yanling, Denise, Daniel & Lena were able to ask us all the right questions to discover our decorating style & needs, integrating with their expertise and bring the concept to life.
After deciding and agreement upon the theme and design of the home, selection of down lights, accent lights and bathroom fittings were shortlisted based on the overall design of the home.
We like Habit’s artistic ability to develop practical designs that looks great but yet also aesthetically pleasing and importantly has a style that lasts through the years.
We had a fuss free renovation experience with a superb post-handover service. The Habit Team’s follow up is exceptional and any queries or rectifications were promptly dealt with.

Our designers, our 'plumbers', our friends...
"What's meant to be, will always find a way....." and so it was for our engagement with the Habit team. Despite having other "tried and tested" recommendations, we went ahead with Denise & Yanling, whose project of transforming an old Tiong Bahru shophouse into a chic, modern home captivated our hearts.
Our new home was an apartment in a 30+ year old development. The unit had been, for as long as anyone could remember, tenanted, with much of the original fixtures in tact. It would be a major overhaul and we needed a team that would be able to manage a lot more than the aesthetics.... The Tiong Bahru project, hence resonated well though it was still very much a leap of faith for us to sign with the team who was unknown to us. And of course, we never looked back!
Starting from the conceptual floor plans to the detailed electrical drawings (with big thanks to 'OC' Daniel), the team was meticulous and creative, never failing to have solutions to our issues, always adding that extra innovative touch..... (My dream dry kitchen with the extra long island ala MBS cantilever with circular support never fails to awe our guests!) Everything that was put in, had a raison d'être - not just for aesthetics but always had a practical reason (like how the steps to the living area became useful storage spaces!). There were a million decisions to make but the recommendations and advice of the team made it so much easier.
Our renovation was unfortunately delayed by the circuit breaker - apartment was left empty and enclosed for 2 months and when we came back, we found a number of issues arising from the trapped humidity - nails in the cupboards rusted and there was warping in the panelling... all our issues were always quickly and effectively resolved. Always responsive and helpful, we realised after a while that we should actually remove their numbers from our speed dial!
Big shout out to Yanling, Denise, Daniel & Lena! It was almost a 10 month long journey (due to no fault of anyone but COVID19) with an amazing outcome. Along the way, we also found a few good friends who made the "trip" particularly pleasant and enjoyable.

Your search is over.
If you are after interior designers who are actually interested in finding out what your day-to-day living habits are, and incorporating that into practical yet aesthetically-pleasing design for your home, you've found them!
With their experience and their extremely keen eye for detail, they helped to transform a 50 year old, dark and gloomy walk-up into a bright warm home that perfectly suits my needs (search: "you won't believe how time-worn this walk-up apartment was" for the Qanvast renovation journey link).
Given the age of the property, it was to be expected that problems would come up in the course of the project, and I am thankful we chose Habit as their experience really shone through in handling the regulators and when necessary, the neighbours.
Denise's creativity, design and extreme attention to detail coupled with Yanling's ability to almost read my mind when it came to choosing furniture, lighting and decor really helped to make this apartment a wonderful first home. The design and renovation process was also made that much simpler because of their initiative, ability to pre-empt issues and provide helpful advice.
This review comes a little later than usual - but I can assure you that having lived in (and now worked from) my home for the last 1.5 years, there's nowhere else I would rather have done my circuit-breaker at.
I cannot recommend them enough.

Working with Habit was fun, I can't wait to do it all over again!
I came to know of the Habit team through a few common friends. I have a few friends who also engaged Habit to design and renovate their homes. I pretty much knew quite early on that I’d want to work with Habit given my familiarity with the team and their portfolio.
The Habit team is what I’d term as a top-tier design firm. You can tell from the design proposals that a lot of effort, detailed work and time went into the designs. The team drew up not one, two, but three proposals for consideration after receiving the initial brief. The proposals incorporated the initial ideas and instructions briefed to them, but over and above, many other creative solutions and proposals which I did not even think of. Having lived in my renovated home for a couple of months now, I continue to still find many aspects of the house well designed and thought-out - these are the fruits of Habit’s ingenuity and labour.
The process for material selection was also very simple and fuss free, especially for a first time home owner. Just choose from various options presented to you, and let Habit run the show. I was also impressed with the execution of the renovation works as everything ran very smoothly. As my work schedule is pretty hectic, I pretty much let the team run the project. I did not have to micro manage and was not at all stressed or worried about any screw ups. I knew that I could trust the team to handle the renovation well (and boy they did).
Habit was very prompt in providing updates throughout the process. They sent pictures as the works progressed along (it was always a delight to receive WhatsApp notifications from them). They were also very responsive (almost instantaneous at many times) when I needed to bounce ideas off during (many) furniture shopping weekends.
Working with Habit made the entire renovation process very fun and needless to say, stress free - right from beginning when the design proposals were drawn, up till installation of carpentry work and finally, the handover. So much so that I'd want to do it all over again.
To Denise, Yanling, Lena and Daniel, thanks very much for working on this project!

Habit will bring your ideas to life but much better than you could have imagined
They say that there are two things that really temper a married couple; the wedding planning and the house renovation. We were anticipating a world of pain in terms of getting our newly purchased flat done up. Thankfully we had Habit.
Choosing Habit as our interior designer for our first house was one of the best decisions we have made as a couple. We wanted to minimise all the stress people get from renovation and the team at Habit exceeded all our expectations.
Being both first time home owners, we were at a lost of how to even approach our home renovation. The first few IDs we saw didn't impress us. They started the conversations with us by thrusting pamphlets in our face and running through standard packages at different price points. It felt so mercenary, mundane and dehumanising. Luckily we were referred to Habit by a friend.
In our first meeting, we could tell that they were a cut above the rest of the IDs we met. They took the time to understand us as people, what we wanted, our lifestyles and our design preferences. Then they took it back and gave us 3 really detailed proposals that fit what we wanted. The level of thought and detail put into the proposals impressed us. We could tell that they were really passionate about building a great home for us, and were as excited about the project as us. Price wise, they come in at a higher rate than other IDs, but we never regretted our choice.
Throughout our renovation journey, Yanling, Denise and Daniel were always on hand to answer those really small nitty gritty questions that noobs like us have. They were always happy to adjust things based on our preferences and opinions, and even gave suggestions for furniture and fixtures (which made the whole process a lot easier for us).
For the actual renovation work, Habit hit all the milestones in a timely manner. We couldn't believe how fast things were done. The contractors they work with do very high quality work and we were very happy with them. Design wise, they know what they are talking about and are creative about how to achieve what we wanted while making it look nice and keeping it usable. From our experience, they work best if you fully trust their design chops, honestly tell them what you think (e.g. We don't want too much black), then get out of the way to let them figure it out.
All in all, we found Habit a great ID firm to work with. They brought our ideas to life and turned the house into a living space we enjoy living in. Yan Ling, Denise and Daniel are good people, and fun to work with (we still owe them a dinner!).

Coming from a three-year-old boy, that’s when you know that a house has really become a home.
When we first moved here in 2014, we didn’t engage an interior designer. And we handled most of the basic renovations by ourselves. But after giving birth to our first son, we realised that most of the surroundings as well as the furniture weren’t exactly child-friendly. Because of that, we thought about moving out for a fresh start or getting a professional to redo our home.
After having our second son, we decided to change the whole design of our home so that it’s not just cosier, but also better utilised. Sometimes, after living in a house for too long, you might notice that it isn’t 100% efficient, which is why we chose to engage Habit to totally redo our home.
Our first renovation when we moved in was quite simple. Basically, we changed some of the laminates and added some extra storage space for my husband’s Lego and toy figure collections. That was pretty much it.
But this time round, we got Habit to take a closer look at the entire layout of the house, so that it can be better optimised. For example, the study at the back of the living area used to part of a larger bedroom, but Habit demolished the walls around it to create a compact sleeping nook for my helper. Doing that also gave us extra space to build a storeroom for our luggage bags, appliances and my husband’s toy boxes.
The mosaic feature wall and the side cabinet are new features too. I wanted a mosaic wall because my job involves creative work – and having a neutral backdrop makes me happy because I can easily snap all the photos I need. For my husband, the equivalent would be seeing his Lego collection on display; each row is dedicated to a different series like Star Wars or Harry Potter.
There’s a belief that you shouldn’t engage your friends in a professional capacity, but after working with Denise and Yan Ling for this renovation, I feel that our friendship has been strengthened and I’ve recommended them to other friends as well.
They’re very responsible individuals who communicate in an honest, no-nonsense manner and if my ideas don’t work, they’d tell it straight. Also, they’re very serious about their work – for example, there was some difficulty sourcing for a display cabinet with the right dimensions for my husband’s Lego collection, but Habit didn’t give up and they eventually found a suitable option.
Overall, I’m really thankful for Habit’s help with this makeover. And it’s really heart-warming that my eldest sees things the same way because his room is “my house”, as he calls it. Coming from a three-year-old boy, that’s when you know that a house has really become a home.

They made our BTO the envy of all our friends!
The review title sounds very clickbait-ey but its true.
We had raving reviews from our friends that the configuration of our space really redefines how they see BTOs or even 3-room flat for the matter.
It was a very refreshing dynamic with Yanling and Denise. We have no knowledge at all on renovation as this is our first house and couldn't even describe the type of aesthetics that we are into - yet they made the journey a partnership with us. They were responsive and attentive throughout the entire renovation process and entertained each and every of our silly questions.
Their design process accounted for our usual habits, the amount of things we have and our usual use of living space and the end result is a home where we fully utilise each and every corner. Even our cat's lifestyle is integrated into the house.
With Yanling and Denise, we appreciate that we can choose how hands-on or off we want to be in the process. At every meeting, we find curated ideas/material options for us to pick and this really helped with daunting tasks like picking tiles where the options are limitless. But where we felt like we want to be hands-on, they gave us the breathing space to be over enthusiastic home owners and we like that.
We were also impressed with their attention to detail and we see that in the finishing. We have no complaints during the handover on the carpentry, the tiling, etc - everything was rectified!
These guys are professional and passionate about everything they do and that is the biggest difference. We can tell because they are AS excited about our house as us.

Thoughtful designs, great quality, no regrets
We engaged Habit as we liked their designs and were impressed by their meticulous proposals after our first meeting. They were very detailed and took time to find out our preferences and daily routines, and were able to suggest innovative concepts and counter offer better alternatives to the preliminary ideas we had. We felt very comfortable during our meetings as it became clear that we were in the hands of a capable and experienced team.
When the renovation began, Habit kept us up to date on any decisions that had to be made, and always sought our inputs in all matters. When we had to make unexpected changes due to building regulations or address unforeseen aircon problems, Habit would steadily explain the situation and walk us through the issues. We did not feel obliged to "spot check" the renovation process every day or be overly concerned about the minor details as Habit kept very open communication lines, sending photographs and videos to update us - this really took off a lot of stress.
The quality of their workmanship is very good and it was clear that Habit had high expectations of the contractors that they engage with. It also dawned on us that it was important to trust the Habit team with their designs, and so we happily gave them reign to decide on the colour placement of the carpentry laminate, as well as relied heavily on their ideas for the types of tiles. It was a decision that we had no regrets, as our home turned out to be more classy and contemporary than we could have imagined! One year on and we are still very in love with our home.
In terms of budget, Habit is certainly on the high side. However, given the good design, superb quality and stress-free process - this was very worth it and we have absolutely no regrets.

A Breath of Fresh Air
My wife and I are a young'ish couple in our thirties who are quite different in our tastes and preferences when it comes home decor. When we bought our place at Keppel Bay, we both had fairly specific ideas that we wanted for our home and knew that it was crucial to find a designer that could not only find a style that we both liked but also to let our individualism stand out without being clashing. We met up with many different IDs and every one of them proposed similar cookie cutter designs that honestly did not differ much with each other, and after more than 5 different meetings, we hadn't met anyone that we were remotely impressed with.
After our initial meeting, Habit took a while longer to get back to us, but when they did, it was definitely worth the wait - they presented us with THREE completely different proposals and walked us through the options in detail, pointing out at every turn why they decided to make a particular design choice usually referencing a small comment I made during our initial meeting. Needless to say, we were VERY impressed by their attention to detail and creativity that was so evident in just their first draft of proposals. While they definitely weren't the cheapest option, the quality and obvious pride they take in their work was more than enough to convince us to engage them, and boy were we glad we did!
As we had some rather complicated requests, the entire renovation project from planning to completion took longer than we had initially expected but we were delighted with the responsiveness and level of communication we had with Habit. They are a small outfit and had quite a few concurrent jobs but at no point in time did we ever feel that they were too busy for us – every question we had was answered promptly, every concern discussed openly and every doubt addressed in detail. When we wanted to make changes, not only were Habit receptive of our suggestions, they encouraged us to completely be ourselves and we genuinely felt that their end goal was to just build OUR dream home, regardless of the extra work or complications such changes might involve.
Special mention must go to the quality of their work. As Habit uses only contractors that they have worked with for many years, the workmanship and service is impeccable. In fact, the only faults that were found after handover was discovered by them and they immediately arranged for touch ups.
Throughout the whole process, we were very appreciative of how Habit handled our expectations – not only did they deliver everything they promised but perhaps more importantly, they were not afraid to be upfront with us when we had unrealistic requests. This was especially evident in their budgeting and timeline projection – the final amount and handover date was almost EXACTLY as initially projected!
Looking back, there is frankly very little more we could have asked for. Habit’s high level of professionalism, limitless creativity guided by years of experience honing their craft and shaped by the bubbling chemistry between the superb team of Yanling and Denise and their protégé Daniel resulted in a home that my wife and I are extremely proud of. At the end of this wonderful journey, we are extremely happy to have had the joy of working with them and also proud to call them our friends.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Practical, Comfortable Design for a Small Space
Based on a colleague's recommendation, my partner and I went for an initial consultation with Habit. We decided to go with them after they came up with 5 different layouts for our small condo and we appreciated how they were pushing boundaries and playing with the limitation of space (463 sq ft). We wanted a place that could be comfortable for us to engage in our daily activities and hobbies, as well as considering the needs of our pets (a cat and rabbit). Being in the arts industry, we identified with their design sensibility and good use of form and proportion in their projects.
The renovation process took a little longer than expected, but we weren't in a rush to complete. Initially we weren't quite sure of the low-contrast palette and simple textures that they proposed (I had wanted a more dramatic kitchen counter and back splash), but the vision became clear after completion. The overall effect is harmonious as there aren't competing features, colours and textures. Everyone who has visited said they feel comfortable in our home!
We are happy with the workmanship and how Habit pays attention to details. Perhaps one thing they could improve on is to be provide more regular updates of the renovation process. They could also be more consultative in their communication and perhaps take time to help the client understand why they propose certain ideas.

If we had to engage an ID again, it's Habit for sure.
We have always adored Habit’s projects which, in our opinion, are clean, contemporary, highly personalised and timeless. When we had the opportunity to renovate our newly acquired resale 4 bedroom apartment, we knew we had to engage Habit; that said, we shopped around with other popular and recommended IDs but true to expectations Habit never failed to impress with their quick grasp of our design vision, attention to detail and space planning. The Habit team (Yan Ling & Denise) prepared a detailed proposal of works to be done so there were no surprises – the project was delivered on time and on budget.
We are a family of 2 adults, 1 baby boy and 1 domestic helper so we needed lots of storage space, all those of you with kids would know! The design brief was simple: contemporary beach house, white, bright, airy plus walk-in wardrobe (for the wife). This took about 1.5 months and we went back and forth on layout and design. We did not have a clear idea of what we wanted (and at times we disagreed) but the Habit team did a great job of guiding us along the way.
Lots of designs, pictures and materials were prepared by the Habit team, shared and discussed with us in face-to-face meetings and group chats. We were impressed by the attention to detail and passion shown during this stage which included consideration for living spaces, natural lighting, placement and type of lighting, materials, cabinetry, wardrobe design, kitchen workflow, etc (the list goes on…).
The renovation stage took about 4 months and the workmen were experienced, tidy and polite. We are pleased with the overall quality.
It was during this stage that we purchased third party supplies (lightings, toilet fittings, ziptrak, curtains, automated systems, etc) with the guidance of Yan Ling and Denise who were on call 24/7 via group chat during weekday nights and weekends when we were out shopping – it was fun shopping with them!
Post-handover, naturally, there were a few nits which were attended to promptly. We are now happily living in our place, there isn’t much that we would change and if we had to engage an ID again, it’s Habit for sure.

Detailed, Meticulous, and Passionate
This is our first house in Singapore and we had no clue where to start and who to talk to after getting the keys. We started off by browsing portfolios and reading reviews of various IDs in Qanvast and we finally shortlisted 3 IDs to meet up with. In the first meeting with all the 3 IDs, Habit was the one who was able to impress us with unique and practical ideas to suit our wants and needs. We knew Habit would be the one designing and renovation our dream home after the first meeting.
We had in our mind that the design of the place has to be clutter free and functional with lots of storage space but yet it would still look classy and classic. Yan Ling, Denise and Jessica were very accommodating and often listen to our needs and we felt comfortable dealing with them. They are very detailed, meticulous and passionate with their work. We were highly impressed with the proposals they came up with in our second meeting. Habit did not only provide with one proposal, but three to cater our needs revolved around our lifestyle and not forgetting our budget. The three ideas they came up with were just creative and different from other IDs.
As for the renovation process, it was a fuss free and smooth sailing. Yan Ling and Denise were very hands on, professional and efficient. From the tiles selection to the types of laminates used, Habit would source for us to choose instead of us going to the shop and start choosing from hundreds or thousands of options available. They were very helpful when come to selection of loose furnitures. They replied to our messages promptly even though it was a weekend and they always give their honest opinion. Yan Ling and Denise paid a lot of attention when come to the details of the renovation and it was really important to us as a first timer in renovating. We are also pleased with the quality of the carpentry workmanship.
After the handover, we faced a few issues but Habit was very prompt in replying our messages. Their contractors came and fixed them within a short time and we are really thankful for their professional attitude. Overall, we are very satisfied and happy with Habit’s work and we appreciate their effort and time in designing such a cosy home for us.

A Home I've Always Dreamt Of
This is my first house in Singapore hence I wanted to find someone who I can trust and deliver what I imagine in my mind. Browsing through Qanvast for 1~2 weeks, I found Habit, most of whose projects have good taste and gave me the peace and home feeling I am looking for.
After meeting a few potential designers, I realize Habit stands out! Once into their office, I know they are the one. The first meeting went on very well and the two proposals they came back surprised me and I made the choice in my mind immediately.
Both Denise and Yanling are very kind, helpful and understanding. They listen what I plan, design what is fit and gave me a home exactly what I want. It was a very peaceful and smooth experience working with them. Throughout the whole project, we only meet a few times and each was very efficient.
The whole project didn't have much change during the process and the quality of the work is very solid too. Denise always gave good and creative ideas and Yanling always respond promptly and will help to answer all my questions and resolve all my requests.
In addition, what surprises me is their efforts even after the handover. They take care of my request too, even if the smallest piece of thing. They also help me with the loose furniture. The renovation completed on time, met my needs and surprised me on the upside! It was a great experience working with Habit. Many of my friends like their design and work and I referred them to Habit too. I would definitely recommend Habit and rate them No.1!
Thanks Denise and Yanling for making me a home, a home I have always been dreaming for! Thank you very much!

Minimalistic yet well designed home that can bring out the beauty of the furniture
I wanted a minimalistic yet well designed home that can bring out the beauty of the furniture/fittings that I have selected. This bare walls, minimal carpentry concept is not very common and I found it quite challenging to find a designer who I believe can meet my needs. Although I already had a rough design in mind, I still needed help to explore new ideas before I can figure out what I really wanted.
I shortlisted 3 designers based on their portfolios but went with Habit because during our first meeting, I felt that I could connect with them and was confident that they can deliver. They also worked hard to develop several creative design proposals which impressed me.
Throughout the process, I admired their professionalism and service standards. The design process took a while as some of my requirements had technical challenges. We went through multiple iterations and they took the time to explain what could be and couldn’t be done. However, once the design was locked down and approvals from the authorities were out of the way, things moved quite quickly.
The contractors they worked with were professional and friendly, and I enjoyed working with them. The cabinetry and other fittings they designed turned out even better than I expected.
Everything ran smoothly except for a couple of things that didn’t turn out the way I wanted but Habit worked with me to get it resolved asap. They continued to provide great service even after the handover which I greatly appreciate.
As they do not provide 3D designs, it was hard sometimes for me to picture what was proposed and changes had to be made in the end. I would recommend that they try to sketch out in 3D earlier in the process for clients who may not “get it” immediately. It would be good if they can also find time to design additional items for existing clients which could not be decided earlier on.
The renovation completed on time and my budget was definitely higher than expected but it was worth it for the peace of mind I get from working with Habit. I enjoyed discussing different design ideas with the team and learnt a lot during the process. Thanks Habit!

Habit stood out, much more so than any of the other outfits.
Once we got our place, we faced a number of challenges to make it truly ours. The unit is fairly space constrained, and the existing kitchen layout was not conducive to cooking. As an older unit it also needed some rectification work done. We had an idea of what we wanted to do, but nothing concrete, and we needed an ID who could take all of these challenges and come up with something beautiful and functional.
We looked at a half dozen ID outfits. It was hit and miss. Some ID outfits would simply regurgitate our initial thoughts. Others were very clearly design specialists, and couldn’t give us comfort on the construction and rectification challenges. Still others seemed to be more focused on what they wanted rather than what we wanted.
Habit stood out. During those initial talks, it was clear that Habit had carefully listened to our wants and needs, and put much thought into what we would like, much more so than any of the other outfits.
As the renovation progressed it was also clear that this was not a one-time thing. Yanling, Denise and Jessica continued to anticipate our needs and make suggestions on things we’d like, throughout the whole process.
Design wise, their suggestions and inputs were always well considered and regularly hit the mark. Judging from the other reviews here, it’s probably safe to say that this is not a fluke – they have a great eye, and can adapt it to their client’s tastes. Even when we were doubtful about whether things would work, they could explain and articulate their thoughts and justifications clearly. Each step of the way, from the design and layout, to hacking and construction, to tile, carpentry and furniture selection, they were always engaged and on point.
It wasn’t just looks, either. The Habit team often made functional decisions and suggestions that we didn’t – couldn’t – anticipate. It was very reassuring to see those considerations being taken into account.
The design process took a while and it was some time before work started proper. But once work started, it was full steam ahead. Every day, something new was happening at our unit. The Habit team did a great job of managing all of the disparate contractors going in and out of the unit and kept everything running smoothly. They were also always alert and responsive, and we would get clear and articulate responses and updates quite quickly. Often they were the ones chasing us for confirmation of instructions!
Yet throughout the chaos, it seemed to us that they never lost sight of the small details. From little touches to the carpentry to make it look just a tad classier, to the positioning and colours of switches and grommets, each detail had a point to make. Nor did they lose track of the basics – tiles, walls and false ceilings may be hidden by carpentry, but as we popped by regularly to review the build process, we know that underneath they were ensuring the foundation was sound.
Overall, our experience was very positive.

Went above and beyond my expectations in terms of level of service and attention to detail
This was my first ever home renovation experience so choosing the right interior design firm and designers who would be able to guide me through this important personal project was key.
Glad to say after meeting a number of design firms, choosing to engage Denise and Yanling was hands down the best choice.
- helped make my ideas into reality
- constantly kept me updated and involved in all decisions, big and small
- clearly highlighted the pros and cons of each decision and helped me come to a balanced outcome
- went above and beyond my expectations in terms of level of service and attention to detail
- and at the end of it all glad to say they have both become good friends
- have recommended them to a number of other friends and glad to say no one has been disappointed with their ability to over deliver on one of the most important endeavors of our lives in creating a place to call home

They blew me away with their proposal!
I briefed 3 different designers before I decided on Habit and they blew me away with their proposal! Not only had that completely understood my lifestyle and the feel I wanted but came back with multiple creative suggestions that were super unique!
I was impressed by their passion, creativity but most of all how detailed and committed they were - ensuring they delivered my perfect home!
Highly recommended, speak with them and you’ll know what I’m talking about!

If we are renovating again, we’d definitely look for Habit.
If we are renovating again, we’d definitely look for Habit. Working with them was a stress-free experience because they handled most of the project management. Unless I felt like ‘kay poh’-ing, there was no need for me to come down (to the site) at all.
They were also very ok with answering our questions. When buying furniture, we would ask them about their thoughts, and they would be very honest about what looked good and what didn’t.
Another thing about Habit is that while other designers will do up 3D drawings, they take a more holistic approach by asking what we wanted for the house, what our plans were, and what we liked to do. In that sense, we felt the experience was more personalised, rather than generic.
Also, they were on the same wavelength when it came to design choices due to our similar age, and there was no need to micro-manage them at all.

They were very detailed, paying attention to the smallest details.
I got to know through a friend’s Facebook post where she used Habit as her ID too. I did a lot of research on IDs and their works. Habit’s designs were consistent and it was closest to what I had in mind for my house. In addition both Yanling & Denise were friendly and very easy to talk to. Communicating with them was a breeze. After the first meeting with them, both my Husband and I knew they were the ones whom we can trust the renovation of our house with.
Our experience with them, One word- Superb! Both YL and Denise are very detailed, paying attention to the smallest details. They were also very prompt with all their replies (irregardless of what time of the day) and any queries/doubts we had, they never failed to assure us and put us at ease.
Not only was their design impressive, their workmanship was also excellent. Tiny hiccups were faced along the way (like all Reno) but nothing that YL & Denise could not handle. Both of them never failed to provide us with solutions/alternative that we were satisfied with. Design and workmanship of our house was never compromised despite the hiccups and changes made along the way.

We were highly impressed by how passionate they are about their work
At the start we didn’t really have a clear idea of what type of design we wanted for our house. We went on Qanvast and started looking through completed projects, bookmarking some along the way. We then realised that most of the bookmarked projects were done by Habit.
We met up with about 5-6 IDs before meeting Habit, and we either found them pushy, or their works rather run of the mill. Most of them didn’t seem to take your opinions into consideration and just wanted to push for us to sign up with them. At that point of time we hadn’t discovered Qanvast yet.
When we first met Habit, we were highly impressed by how passionate they are about their work. We had some rough ideas in mind, and they took keen interest into our daily habits and the necessities/wants for our new house. We were even more impressed that their initial plan and design revolved around things we mentioned during our first meeting, and their attention to detail. Also, they weren’t pushy and gave us time to consolidate our ideas.
We then found out that our friend had her house done by them too. She kindly invited us over to have a look and I think that sealed the deal. We love the design and finishing, and we decided to choose them.
We really enjoyed working with them. Communication was a breeze and we looked forward to our next meeting. On the business end, we appreciate that there’s a detailed breakdown of costs and things were not left in the ‘grey area’. We appreciate that they are passionate about their work and the detail and hard work they put in. On a personal level, It helped that they are pretty cool and open to suggestions, and it was a joy working with them.
They were such a big help throughout, and gave great recommendations on where to find furniture to fit the theme and Color of our project.
We especially love their design and attention to detail. I guess that’s why they are called ‘Habit’, they tailor made their design based on what our daily habits are like. So not only is it aesthetically pleasing, it’s functional as well.
Everything pretty much went quite smoothly for us. We understand their projects are tailor made, and although the initial design portion took some time, everything went by pretty smoothly and quickly once the design was confirmed. We weren’t in a rush to move in, so we didn’t feel a need to rush the project.

When renovating with Habit, I didn’t have to worry much as everything turned out really well. They understood what I wanted and delivered promptly. I was lucky to be able to engage Habit as they’re very busy, so it’s better to book them early.

Habit is ahead of the curve in terms of timeless aesthetics and design flair
They had us @this_is_habit. Following Instagram and other social media outlets is baseline research. After due diligence meetups and chemistry checks with several IDs, where Habit stood apart is exceptional pride in design and execution; balance of composition and functionality; and passion and experience to render our rhetorical habits into a thoughtful, stylish home.
As a boutique shop, Yanling and Denise were personally engaged from beginning to end. As important as it was that they listened well to our broad stroke ideas, what truly impressed us was witnessing – at each project milestone – their sense of ownership, energy, and bespoke design invested into our project. Now, in scrolling through their project portfolio, we can better appreciate the sparks of passion and unique touches they brought to each client. In summary, Habit is ahead of the curve in terms of timeless aesthetics and design flair.

Unparalleled intuition about design and an intimate passion for the finer details
We got to know Denise from a good friend of ours. Habit did up their place and we asked to be introduced to Habit. Denise and Yanling are very different from the other IDs we spoke to. We felt very comfortable with them and always looked forward to our meetings. With their very impressive portfolio of successful past works, one can readily appreciate why they are the most sought-after designer in Singapore. They have an unparalleled intuition about design and an intimate passion for the finer details.
We should also mention that they are super chill and cool people to hang out with.
Working alongside with them is fantastic and absolutely fun! We collaborated really well to create the end product and had withdrawal symptoms after the project handover. During the engagement process, they always took time to explain the nuances to us. One unique thing about Habit is that they don’t do 3D-rendering, but it really wasn’t needed when the rapport with them is so strong. They are a class act. I’m amazed how they managed to make the process a fun learning experience and how clients end up becoming long-term friends. They can be fully trusted and are very responsible. Along the way we also got to level up on our sense of design as well. The anticipation of the end product is the same feeling as a kid waiting to unwrap an eagerly awaited Christmas gift. Considering how stressful a home renovation project can get, not to mention the many potential pitfalls, we genuinely enjoyed every moment of it. We are looking forward to our next home project with habit!
What was impressive is that they are a class act. I’m amazed how they managed to make the process a fun learning experience and how clients end up becoming long-term friends. They can be fully trusted and are very responsible. Along the way we also got to level up on our sense of design as well. Being a boutique set up means that they are always stretched for time. We only wished we could see them in person more often, although the number of appointments we had fully sufficed for discussing details. We enjoyed chatting over Whatsapp and they were always super responsive and have a good sense of humor.
Last but not least, remember to take time off from work!

I really applaud them for their level of detail
We had seen Habit’s past projects on Qanvast and we like that their designs are very classy and classic. That was important to us as we wanted an interior designer who could come up with unique designs for us. Between the designers and ourselves, we had that rapport and they understood what we wanted, and they were very open to our ideas and suggestions.
What I liked best about Yan Ling and Denise were that they would always give us their honest opinion. Interior designers should not just be focused on catering to their clients’ needs and we really appreciated that Yan Ling and Denise were unafraid when it came to sharing with us their creative views.
Yan Ling and Denise paid a lot of attention to detail when it came to the finer parts of the renovation. They asked me to measure the average length of my dresses so that they could plan the height of my wardrobe accordingly. Within the wardrobe itself, they also made sure that all the drawers were aligned. Even when it came down to the fixtures of the shelves, they would make sure that the screws are aligned with the tile grout. I really applaud them for their level of detail.

Habit's design style was very different from other interior design firms that we met
Habit’s design style is very different from the other interior design firms that we met. Thus, even though Habit's quotation was slightly pricier, we felt that it’s worth it to enlist Habit’s services. During our first meeting with them, they left quite an impression on us. They were able to understand what we wanted without us having to explicitly mention it to them.
We definitely felt comfortable with them. Even though they don’t provide 3D drawings, their 2D drawing showed their understanding of the design style that we wanted and by looking at it, we were able to visualise how our home would turn out.
Yanling and Denise were very professional and efficient. In fact, they were the ones who were chasing us for things instead of the other way around. They also paid a lot of attention to detail when coming up with designs, such as getting us to measure the length of our clothes so that they can plan the the height of the wardrobe accordingly. Their designs definitely reflect their precision. Yan Ling and Denise also told us to purchase our appliances so that they could plan the design of the cabinet joints around our appliances. In the end, our kitchen cabinets turned out very nicely – it looks symmetrical and its lines are very nicely done.
When they handed over our home to us, we were unable to spot any flaws. In fact, they were the ones who told us that they spotted something and offered to rectify it for us. It was such a small flaw that we didn’t even notice!
After moving in, we discovered an issue with the Internet LAN cable and told Habit about it and they sent their contractor to fix right away. They were really efficient!

Habit was the only firm that convinced us with their keen sense of design and personal service
Habit was a friend’s recommendation. We checked out their portfolio on their Instagram and Facebook and we really liked their style. I feel that they put their heart and soul into coming out with a unique design for each and every home that they’ve worked on and to me, that is really impressive.
We were unsure how our house would turn out initially because we wanted to make the place feel personal and also to have more space. While we had a rough concept, Habit was the only firm that convinced us with their keen sense of design and personal service. We gave all the designers we met the same brief and Habit went the extra mile and presented three different designs based on our requests! Although Habit’s absolute price was higher than the other two interior designers that we had met, we decided to enlist their services as we feel that it’s worth it.
They did a really good job and helped us to solve any problems that cropped us. When there’s an issue, they would propose some solutions and take action once they hear from us. If there’s a problem with the contractor, we could just liaise with Habit and they will solve it for us.
They are also very prompt in their response from furniture choosing to even providing us updates on how the renovation is progressing and when certain things will take place. We liked that they updated us on not just what has happened but what will take place during the renovation. We could tell they have good rapport with their team of contractors, which reduces the chances of miscommunication.

Their promptness and sincerity really impressed me
We needed someone to come up with something concrete based on the ideas that we had and Habit was one of the firms that could give us good and refreshing ideas. Habit certainly delivered in terms of quality and value for our home renovation.
We were worried about sub-standard work while choosing an interior designer but after working with Habit and moving in, we were very impressed by the workmanship for our home and we definitely have no regrets. I’m very impressed with their idea of using a built-in display storage instead of hacking down an entire wall in the living room as me and my wife couldn’t agree on what to do with it. Now it has become something that both of us love!
Although they were the most expensive out of the other two interior designers that we met up with, their level of service and ideas were really outstanding. Their promptness and sincerity really impressed us. The carpenters and contractors hired by Habit were really professional and the finishing was very fine.

Thoughtful and meticulous when it comes to the design details
A friend of mine used Habit and I know what kind of design and service I can expect from them. No surprises, Habit delivered the project with the way we wanted it. We spoke with some designer firms on Qanvast but decided to go with Habit as we can better connect in terms of the black-and-white theme that we have in mind.
Yanling and Denise were really thoughtful and meticulous when it comes to the design details, like the legs and edges of the dining table. They also cleverly worked around the space constraints we had. As first timers who are renovating, we are really grateful that they actually thought of all these details which we have missed out. We wanted a classic monochrome look and Habit reinterpreted the look based on our requirements, instead of reusing designs they did from their previous projects. The workmanship of the carpentry was really good too.
We highly recommend Habit.

Designs are very personalized to each home's lifestyle and requirements
We came to know about Habit when two of our friends engaged them, and through the Qanvast app. We really like their designs, and Yanling and Denise made an effort to reinterpret the spaces for every home, taking care to not copy what they have done before into your home. This means the designs are very personalised to each home's lifestyle and requirements.
We could hit off very well and the service and quality they provide are excellent. They were very on-the-ball and with us being first-time homeowners, they had shared with us their opinions and advices on renovation to furniture shopping. Very responsive and easy to work with. Our renovation was worry-free and we could trust them. Downside is, their design fee is a tad higher than the normal market rate, and they do not provide 3D drawings. Nevertheless, we went ahead and trusted them with our home.
We know we had made the right choice and we will definitely recommend Habit!

One of the smoothest renovation I've ever experienced
A friend encouraged me to contact Habit after seeing their portfolio online, and they did not disappoint. The service level provided was almost perfect. Yanling and Denise could envision what I'm looking for in the house and they managed to translate what I have in mind into design concepts and within two meetings, we nailed down the requirements.
It was one of the smoothest renovation I've ever experienced. They were responsive and prompt, providing regular updates. They also provided good design alternatives and options for me to choose and I didn't feel that they were presenting all these because they were after a commission from their suppliers. They were also swift to act on rectifications. Habit is a firm I will recommend to my friends.

I got to know Habit through Qanvast app. Habit was the most consistent in their follow up out of all the interior designers which I have shortlisted. We had good synergy and they were able to interpret my preference. They were also very efficient, and there were minimal hiccups. Habit was very open and honest in their communication (e.g. quotation etc).
I told them my requirements and concerns which they were able to work around them. I also told them what is essential and what is nice to have, so they had prioritises the renovation work according to my needs. For example, I told them that I didn't need to have bathtub because it was impractical. With that, they able to consider from my point of view.
